It appears the Democrat Herold/Gazette Times decided to give away mini papers titled "This Week" chock full of ads to Corvallis residents - even those that have not asked for it. Residents now wake up to a paper on their lawn complete with one or two plastic bags. Never fear, your paper is recyclable. Of course, that requires that you drive your papers to a recycling area or have waste removal services. If you do not remove the paper and allow them to accumulate at some point you may get in trouble with the city for garbage in your yard.

Another vandal has struck NW Corvallis. This time at 2:29am, on a Friday night. 3 individuals walked along a sidewalk. 2 of the individuals crossed to the other side of the street while 1 individual stumbled across the front yard of a home. It appeared that he tried to catch himself on a tree and broke off a main limb. The individual looked as if he had a bicycle helmet on. Very grainy night time video has captured this incident.
