A Corvallis Citizen contributor possesses the following:
- Professional or professional-amateur writing experience and samples
- Ability to consistently produce smart, thorough and balanced articles
- Passion for journalism, NOT sensationalism
- Proven professional behavior including the ability to submit polished assignments
- High tolerance for constructive criticism, suggestions and edits to your work
- A sense of humor and passion for community building
- Responsiveness to readers' comments to your published posts
- Willingness to offer support to other contributors by sharing information and commenting on their posts
